G eneral safety instrucions fo r electrical pow er tools
Do not expose power to o ls to rain o r wet
conditions. . Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk o f electricshock.
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the
cord fo r carrying,p ulling o r unplugging
the power tool. Keep cord aw ayfrom heat,
oil, sharp edges and m oving parts. Dama-
gedor entangled cords increase the risk of
electric shock.
When operating a power to o l outdoors,
use an extensioncord suitable fo r ou tdoo r
use. Use o f a cord suitablefor outdoor use re-
duces the risk o f electric shock.
If operating a power to o l in a dam p loca-
tion is unavoidable,use a residual current
device (RCD) protectedsupply. Use of an
RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
Stay alert, watch w hat you are doing
and use com m onsense when operating a
power tool. Do not use a pow ertool w hile
you are tired o r under the influence o f
drugs,alcohol o r m edication. A moment of
inattention while operatingpower tools may
result in serious personal injury.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clot-
hing o r jew ellery.Keep you r hair, clothing
and gloves away from m oving parts. Loose
clothes, jewellery or long hair can becaught
in moving parts.
Use personal protective equipm ent. Al-
ways wear eyeprotection. Protective equip-
ment such as dust mask,non-skid safety
shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used
for appropriate conditions will reduce perso­
nal injuries.
Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the
sw itch is inthe o ff-po sition before connec-
ting to power sourceand/or battery pack,
picking up o r carrying the tool. Carrying
power tools with your finger on the switch or
energising power tools that have the switch
on invites accidents.
Remove any adjusting key o r wrench be­
fore turning th e power to o l on. Remove any
adjusting key or wrench before turningthe
power tool on.
Do not overreach. Keep proper foo ting
and balance atall tim es. This enables better
control of the power tool in unexpected situa-
tions.

If devices are provided fo r the connec-
tio n o f dust extractionand collectio n faci-
lities, ensure these are connectedand pro-
perly used. Use of dust collection can redu-
cedust-related hazards.
Power to o l use and care
Do not force the power tool. Use the cor-
rect power to o lfo r your application. The
correct power tool will do thejob better and
safer at the rate for which it was designed.
Do not use the power tool if the sw itch
does not turn iton and off. Any power tool
that cannot be controlled withthe switch is
dangerous and must be repaired.
D isconnect the plug from the power
source and/or thebattery pack from the
power to o l before m aking
ments, changing accessories, o r storing
pow ertools. Such preventive safety measu-
res reduce the risk ofstarting the power tool
accidentally.
Store idle power to o ls out o f the reach o f
children anddo not allow persons unfam i-
liar w ith the power tool orthese instruc-
tio n s to operate the power tool. Power-
tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained
users.
Maintain power tools. Check fo r m isalign-
m ent o r b in d in g o f m oving parts, breakage
o f parts and any othercondition that may
affect the pow er to o l's operation. Ifdama-
ged, have the power to o l repaired before
use. Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained powertools.
Keep cuttin g to o ls sharp and clean. Pro-
perly maintainedcutting tools with sharp cut-
ting edges are less likely to bindand are ea-
sier to control.
Use the power tool, accessories and too l
bits etc. in accordancew ith these instruc-
tion s, taking in to accountthe w orking c o n ­
ditio n s and the w ork to be perform ed. Use
o f the power tool for operations different from
thoseintended could result in a hazardous si-
tuation.
Service
Have you r power to o l serviced by a quali-
fied repair personusing on ly identical re-
placem ent parts. This will ensurethat the
safety o f the power tool is maintained.
