Cutler-Hammer Limited Warranty for Purchases in U.S. and
Canada
I. CH Branch Circuit Breakers
Eaton Electrical Inc. warrants its type CH branch circuit breaker
to be free from failure due to defects in material and workman-
ship under normal care and proper usage in a residential instal-
lation made in accordance with the National Electrical Code for
the life of the loadcenter in which it is installed.
In the event the circuit breaker fails to comply with this warranty,
Eaton Electrical will, at its option, either repair or replace the
product at without charge. To obtain warranty service, the pur-
chaser should return the product to the place of purchase or
deliver the product prepaid to Eaton Electrical at the address
set forth below. Proof of purchase in the form of a receipt or
invoice, which is evidence that the unit is within the warranty
period, must be presented to obtain warranty service.
II. Type CH Loadcenters, Type CH Surge Panels and Type
CH Meterbreaker (MB) Panels
Eaton Electrical Inc. warrants its type CH factory-installed main
breaker loadcenter, type CH integrated surge panel, type CH
main lug loadcenter, and type CH meterbreaker combination
panel to be free from failure due to defects in material and work-
manship under normal care and proper usage in a residential
installation in a residential installation which fully complies with
all National Electrical Code requirements for the life of the
product.
In the event the product fails to comply with this warranty, Eaton
Electrical will, at its option, either repair or replace the product
at without charge. To obtain warranty service, the purchaser
should return the product to the place of purchase or deliver the
product prepaid to Eaton Electrical at the address set forth be-
low. Proof of purchase in the form of a receipt or invoice, which
is evidence that the unit is within the warranty period, must be
presented to obtain warranty service.
III. BR Branch Circuit Breakers
Eaton Electrical Inc. warrants its type BR branch circuit breaker
to be free from failure due to defects in material and workman-
ship under normal care and proper usage in a residential instal-
lation which fully complies with all National Electrical Code re-
quirements for a period of 10 years from the date of installation.
In the event the circuit breaker fails to comply with this warranty,

V. Additional Information
These warranties do not cover failure or damage due to im-
proper storage, installation, operation, maintenance, accident,
misuse, abuse or negligence. These warranties do not cover
reimbursement for labor, transportation, gaining access, removal,
installation, temporary power, or any other expenses that may
be incurred in connection with repair or replacement of the Eaton
Electrical products. These warranties cover residential use of
the type CH products and type BR products, and exclude any
commercial applications.
The remedies as provided under these warranties are the
exclusive remedy of the purchaser and the limit of the liability
of Eaton Electrical Inc. with respect to these products, whether
in contract, in tort (including negligence or strict liability) or
otherwise. Eaton Electrical Inc. disclaims all other warranties,
including without limitation any implied warranty of merchant-
ability or of fitness for a particular purpose, and shall not be
liable for any incidental or consequential damages.
With respect to products purchased by consumers of the United
States for personal use, the implied warranties, including but
not limited to the warranties of merchantability and of fitness for
a particular purpose, are not excluded but are limited to the du-
ration of the warranty period. Some states do not allow the ex-
clusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or
implied warranties, so the above limitations or exclusions may
not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights,
and you may also have other rights which vary from state to
state.
All type CH and type BR product warranties are rendered null
and void if a breaker other than those specifically listed by UL
for use in them is installed.

de surtension intégré, de type CH, son panneau de distribution
de bornier d'arrivée, de type CH, et son panneau mixte de
compteur, de type CH, contre tout défaut de matériau et de main-
d'œuvre suite à un usage normal et à un entretien adéquat dans
une installation résidentielle entièrement conforme au Code
national de l'électricité, pendant la durée de vie du produit.
Si le produit devait s'avérer non conforme à la garantie, Eaton
Electrical le remplacera ou, à sa discrétion, le réparera
gratuitement. Pour obtenir un recours en garantie, l'acheteur
doit renvoyer le produit au détaillant ou le faire livrer port payé à

V. Renseignements supplémentaires
Ces garanties ne couvrent pas les défauts ou dommages dus à

conformes, ou à des accidents, à un mauvais usage, à l'abus
ou à la négligence. Ces garanties ne couvrent pas le
remboursement pour frais de main-d'œuvre, de dépose,
d'installation, de panne de courant temporaire ou pour autres
dépenses liées à la réparation ou au remplacement des produits
Eaton Electrical. Ces garanties s'étendent à l'usage ménager
des produits de types CH et BR mais excluent toute utilisation
commerciale.
Les recours énoncés dans les présentes sont les seuls à la dis-
position de l'acheteur et constituent la limite de la responsabilité
d'Eaton Electrical Inc. envers ces produits, qu'il s'agisse de
responsabilité contractuelle ou délictuelle (y compris négligence
ou responsabilité civile), ou autre. Eaton Electrical Inc. nie toute
autre garantie, y compris à titre non limitatif, toute garantie tac-
ite relative à la qualité loyale et marchande ou à la convenance
à un usage particulier, et ne saurait être tenu responsable de
dommages indirects ou accessoires.
Relativement aux produits achetés par les consommateurs au
Canada à des fins d'usage personnel, les garanties tacites, y
compris à titre non limitatif, les garanties relatives à la qualité
loyale et marchande et à la convenance à un usage particulier,
ne sont pas exclues mais se limitent à la durée de la garantie.
Comme certaines provinces n'autorisent pas l'exclusion ou la
limitation des dommages indirects ou accessoires ou des
garanties tacites, il se peut que la limitation susmentionnée ne
s'applique pas à un acheteur particulier. La présente garantie
octroie à l'acheteur des droits juridiques particuliers, et celui-ci
peut jouir d'autres droits qui varient d'une province à l'autre.
Toutes les garanties des produits de types CH et BR sont nulles
et non avenues si un disjoncteur autre que ceux répertoriés UL
et convenant à ce panneau est installé dans le panneau de dis-
tribution.

Garantía limitada de Cutler-Hammer para compras en los

I. Interruptores de circuito de ramal tipo CH
Eaton Electrical Inc. garantiza que durante toda la vida útil del
centro de carga en que se lo instale, su interruptor de circuito
de ramal tipo CH está libre de defectos de material y de mano
de obra bajo condiciones normales de mantenimiento y de uso
adecuado en instalaciones residenciales, de acuerdo con el
Código Eléctrico Nacional.
Si el interruptor fallara dentro del plazo de esta garantía, Eaton
Electrical reparará o reemplazará, según su criterio y sin cargo
alguno, el interruptor defectuoso. Para hacer uso de la garantía,
el comprador deberá devolver el producto al lugar de compra o
enviarlo por correo con franqueo pagado a Eaton Electrical, a
la dirección que figura abajo. Deberá presentarse también un
recibo o factura que sirva para demostrar que el producto fue
comprado dentro del período de la garantía.
II. Centros de carga tipo CH, paneles de subida de tensión
tipo CH y paneles medidor/interruptor tipo CH.
Eaton Electrical Inc. garantiza que durante toda la vida útil del
producto, su centro de carga de interruptor principal tipo CH
ensamblado de fábrica, su panel de subida de tensión tipo CH
integrado, su centro de carga con disyuntor principal tipo CH y
su panel combinado medidor/interruptor tipo CH están libres de
defectos de material y de mano de obra bajo condiciones
normales de mantenimiento y de uso adecuado en instalaciones
residenciales que cumplan con todos los requisitos del Código
Eléctrico Nacional.
Si el producto fallara dentro del plazo de esta garantía, Eaton
Electrical reparará o reemplazará, según su criterio y sin cargo
alguno, el producto defectuoso. Para hacer uso de la garantía,
el comprador deberá devolver el producto al lugar de compra o
enviarlo por correo con franqueo pagado a Eaton Electrical, a
la dirección que figura abajo. Deberá presentarse también un
recibo o factura que sirva para demostrar que el producto fue

V. Información adicional
Estas garantías no cubren fallas ni daños causados por
almacenamiento, instalación, operación o mantenimiento
indebidos, accidentes, mal uso, abuso o negligencia. Tampoco
cubren el reembolso de los gastos generados por mano de obra,
transporte, acceso, remoción, instalación, uso de energía tem-
poral ni cualquier otro gasto relacionado con la reparación o el
reemplazo de productos Eaton Electrical. Las garantías cubren
el uso residencial de los productos de tipo CH y BR pero excluyen
todo tipo de uso comercial.
Las soluciones que se establecen dentro de las presentes
garantías son exclusivas del comprador y representan el límite
de la responsabilidad de Eaton Electrical Inc. respecto de estos
productos, ya sea bajo contrato, extracontractualmente (incluida
negligencia o responsabilidad civil objetiva) o de cualquier otra
manera. Eaton Electrical Inc. desconoce cualquier otra garantía,
incluida, a título enunciativo, cualquier garantía implícita de
comercialización y adecuación para un uso o propósito
específico. La compañía no será responsable por los daños
secundarios o indirectos que pudieren resultar.
Con respecto a los productos adquiridos por consumidores de
los Estados Unidos para uso personal, las garantías implícitas,
incluidas, a título enunciativo, las garantías implícitas de
comercialización y adecuación para un uso o propósito
específico, no están excluidas pero sí limitadas a la duración
de la garantía pertinente. Algunos estados no permiten la
exclusión o limitación de los daños secundarios o indirectos o

Esta garantía le otorga derechos legales específicos, y al mismo
tiempo, usted puede gozar de otros derechos que varían según
el estado.
Las garantías de productos tipo CH y BR quedarán anuladas si
se instala un interruptor distinto de los específicamente
autorizados por UL para ser utilizados con dichos productos.
