7. Product description

The LX-2000 meter allows measurement operation as a lux meter as well as a thermometer with an optional thermo-
couple sensor.
The lux meter allows precise measurement of the illuminance. The integrated filter only allows the visible light spec-
trum to be measured. The light spectrum of the light sensor corresponds to the light efficiency according to the
International Commission on Illumination (CIE).
Optional thermocouple sensors of type K and type J can be connected to the meter. As a result, a temperature meas-
urement is also possible.
The meter is designed for industrial, commercial and private use. You can thus easily check whether the illumination
is sufficient for the respective application.

8. Power supply

The meter can be used as a mobile device with batteries. In case of stationary operation or long-term measurements,
an optional power supply can be connected.
When the power supply is connected, the meter automatically turns on and remains in operation. The "POWER"
button is disabled in power supply mode. The automatic power-off is also disabled.
When connecting a power supply, the connection between the battery and the meter is automatically inter-
rupted. Therefore, the batteries do not need to be removed in power supply mode.
a) Insert or replace the battery
• Before first use or when the battery change symbol appears in the upper left hand corner of the display, six new,
fully charged batteries must be inserted.
• When replacing the battery, make sure that the meter is switched off.
• Use a suitable Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the two screws on the battery compart-
ment (13).
• Pull the battery compartment cover off the device.
• Insert six new batteries into the battery compartment, observing the correct polarity.
For the individual battery cells, the polarity is indicated in the battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment in reverse order and screw it back in carefully.
