• Do not place your hands in the drilling area
whilst the power tool is running. There is a risk
of injury from contact with the insert tool.
• Never remove drilling debris from the drilling
area whilst the electrical tool is running. Always
set the drive unit to the rest position first and switch
off the power tool.
• Do not remove drilling chips with your bare
hands. There is a particular risk of injury from hot
and sharp-edged metal chips.
• Break long drilling chips by interrupting the
drilling process by turning the rotary wheel
back briefly. There is a risk of injury from long
drilling chips.
• Keep the handles dry, clean and free of oil and
grease. Greasy, oily handles are slippery and result
in a loss of control.
• Use clamping devices to clamp the workpiece.
Do not process workpieces that are too small
to be clamped. If you hold the workpiece by hand,
you cannot adequately secure it against twisting
and injure yourself.
• Immediately switch off the power tool, as soon
as the insert tool is blocked. The insert tool
blocks, if:
- the power tool is overloaded or
- it is tilted in the workpiece to be processed.
• Do not touch the insert tool after it has been
processed before it has cooled down. The insert
tool gets very hot when working.
• Regularly inspect the cable and have a damaged
cable repaired only by an authorised service
centre. Replace damaged extension cables. This
ensures that safety of the electric tool is maintained.
• Securely store unused power tools. The storage
space must be dry and lockable. This prevents
the power tool from being damaged by storage or
being used by inexperienced people.
• Never leave the power tool before it has com-
pletely stopped. Continuously running tools can
cause injuries.
• Do not use the power tool with damaged ca-
bles. Do not touch the damaged cable and pull
the mains plug if the cable gets damaged while
working. Damaged cables increase the risk of an
electric shock.

• Do not look directly into the laser beam with un-
protected eyes.
• Never look into the path of the beam.
• Never point the laser beam towards reflecting sur-
faces and persons or animals. Even a laser beam
with a low output can cause damage to the eyes.
• Caution - methods other than those specified here
can result in dangerous radiation exposure.
• Never open the laser module. Unexpected exposure
to the beam can occur.
• If the product is not used for an extended period of
time, the batteries should be removed.
• The laser may not be replaced with a different type
of laser.
• Repairs of the laser may only be carried out by the
laser manufacturer or an authorised representative.
Residual risks
The electric tool has been built according to state-
of-the-art and the recognised technical safety
rules. However, individual residual risks can arise
during operation.
• Health hazard due to electrical power, with the use
of improper electrical connection cables.
• Furthermore, despite all precautions having been
met, some non-obvious residual risks may still re-
main.
• Residual risks can be minimised if the "safety in-
structions" and the "Proper use" are observed along
with the whole of the operating instructions.
• Do not unnecessary stress the machine: too much
pressure when drilling will damage the drill quickly.
This results in reduced output of the machine in the
processing and in cut precision.
• Avoid accidental starting of the machine: the oper-
ating button may not be pressed when inserting the
plug in an outlet.
• Use the tool that is recommended in this manual.
In doing so, your drill provides optimal performance.
