10 Maintenance

Turn off power supply to the cabinet by dis-
connecting the power plug before starting
any maintenance on the cabinet. When a
remote control switch is provided, it must be protected
(e.g. by lock) against unauthorised reswitching-in.
Wear safety gloves when cleaning and ser-
vicing the device (risk of injuries).
10.1

Cleaning the condenser fins

The refrigerated cabinet normally requires no mainte-
nance except for cleaning the condenser fins twice or
three times a year.
Disconnect cabinet as described above (see sec-
-
tion 11).
Unscrew 4 recessed-head screws (fig.1, 2) or 2
-
recessed-head screws (fig. 4) with a screw-driver
for recessed-head screws.
Remove kick plate (fig. 1, 2).

Check whether the condenser fins require clean-
-
ing (3-2).
The condenser only needs cleaning when a
layer of dust, fluff and the like begins to build
up between the fins over the full width.
Clean the fins (3-2) with a vacuum cleaner and
-
brush attachment (3-1) or flat nozzle (3-3).
Replace kick plate (fig. 1, 2) and screw it on after
-
cleaning.
Put cabinet in operation.

Regular cleaning of the condenser is impor-
tant to saving power and avoiding unneces-
sary servicing.
