• The texts are correctly contrasted but the image framed does not allow them to be seen at the best :
set the text background to BLACK, on the menu 7.Other parameters. With BLACK background the text
is more easily legible.
6.4

Text/Date/Hour

• The date format is not correct: select the date format on the menu 6.1 of the matrix
• It is not possible to displace date and hour in the two lower lines of the screen : the two last lines of the
screen are reserved to the input identification text and to a possible alarm message
• The text is not displayed on screen : if the text has been correctly defined on the menu 4.Texts (during
the matrix programming) the outputs 2, 3 and 4 must be supplied with the optional ID07 board in order
to be able to display the identification texts.
6.5

Switching

• Even if an input is selected manually, after few minutes the automatic switching cycle returns: an alarm
condition has occurred or the automatic output has been enabled from the manual selection (menu
7.Other parameters)
• The automatic switching cycle does not correspond to the sequence set : check that the sequence is
correctly set, returning to programming. The matrix is probably switching on night cycle (check the day
switching cycle start/end time and the hour displayed on screen) or it is alarmed, and is switching on a
group of alarmed inputs.
• By means of the keypad it is possible to select in the same way the inputs present : it is necessary to
disable these inputs on the Enabling menu of the individual keyboards. Refer to the proper instruction
manual.
• The monitor number 4 does not respond: if the VCR trigger is enabled and no trigger signal has been
connected to the corresponding DB25 pin, the output number 4 is kept blocked on a fixed input.
Connect the VCR trigger or configure it as "not used" on the menu 5 Videotape recorder/Printer.
6.6

Connection to the keyboard

• The keyboard is not able to switch the matrix : the type of matrix controlled by the keyboard is wrong.
Proceed to set the matrix type in the keyboard setup (refer to the relevant instruction manual to set the
Type of "SW164OSM" matrix controlled)
• The COM FAULT led is continuously flashing even if the matrix seems to respond correctly to the key
pressing: the messages starting from the matrix do not reach the controlling keyboard. Proceed to set
the transmission/reception mode both in the keyboard setup (refer to the relevant instruction manual)
and controlling the jumpers inside the matrix.
• The keyboard control is discontinuous, and the key pressing is often neglected: a RS232 connection
has been carried out on an excessive distance (more than 15 metres) or the transmission line is
disturbed by electromagnetic noise. In both cases, carry out a Current Loop connection.
• Each attempt of changing the number of the output controlled or the selection of an input is
accompanied by an error acoustic signal: the outputs or inputs to be controlled have been disabled on
the keyboard. Proceed to set the keyboard input/output enabling (x menu of the keyboard
configuration), according to the procedure described in the relevant instruction manual
• The alarm Led is flashing, but no alarm indication is displayed on screen: the matrix is under alarm, but
the output does not recognize the alarm activated. This condition (correct) is introduced in phase of
configuration of the matrix : proceed to configure the alarm contacts recognized by each output. In
case of alarm, the keyboard Alarm Led always warns about the current anomaly, even if the alarm
does not concern directly the output controlled.
6.7

Alarms

• even if the alarm contacts are closed, the matrix does not respond with the automatic switching cycle
on the inputs alarmed:
the matrix is alarmed, but the output is not enabled to the alarm recognition : in this case the
alarm Led is flashing on all keyboards
the alarm contact is NOT USED : reset correctly the type of contact on the menu 3.1 Alarm
contacts
if the contact is defined as NO (normally open) the alarm pin is not being short-circuited with
the alarm common
