1.1 Packing contents

On delivery ensure that the packaging is not damaged or shows signs of falls or scratches.
If damage is evident, contact the supplier immediately.
Please, make sure that the contents correspond to the components list mentioned above.
1.2 Contents of this User Manual
This manual contains the description of the SW164OSM video switcher, with installation, configuration
and use procedures.
Please read the current manual carefully before installation or use.
1.3 Addressee of the User Manual
The sections of this manual are intended to satisfy two different requirements:
Installer: the installer is an adequately competent technician, able to install the security system and to
verify its correct operation.
The installer has the technical knowledge necessary to install, connect and configure the system.
Only the installer can carry out the operations described in this manual in the section reserved for the
"Technical personnel".
Operator: the operator is the end user, able to operate the control keyboard in order to define the
operating mode of the whole system. Multi-user systems can consist of a maximum of 4 operators
controlling simultaneously all available units (video inputs, monitors, etc.).
1.4 What to read
The installation procedures, mainly aimed at the installer, are described ata Chp. 4.Installation.
The operator must refer to Chap.3 SW164OSM functional features for the description of the basic
functions and to Chap.5.Matrix configuration to configure the system.
