4 Installation
Before carrying out the following operations, if not otherwise stated, always disconnect the unit
from the power supply.
Installation process must be carried out only by qualified technical personnel : an incorrect
connection to peripheral units may cause the video switcher to be isolated from the whole system.
The SW164OSM matrix is factory configured according to the parameters shown in the feature
table. After installation the system parameters must be set up correctly.
4.1

Opening the package

If the package does not show signs of damage, please check the contents of the box, following the list
shown in Chap. 1.1 Packing contents.
Packing material has to be disposed by the installer following waste disposal procedures operative in the
Country of use.

4.1.1 Checking operating data

Before proceeding with the installation, please check if the material supplied corresponds to the
specifications required, according to the operating data label as described at Chap.1.7 Operating data
labels. Modifications of the units, if not described in this manual, are not allowed: the use of unsuitable
devices can lead to serious risks for the safety of the personnel and the security of the system.
4.2

Installation example

This is an example of an installation controlled by three operators each with a monitor:in addition to the
video switching and handling of alarm contacts, two operators control a group of receivers for the
positioning of the Pan & Tilt and zoom lenses:
