Controlling KLVV and KLV(E)

NOTE:
– Check the version number of the control
panel. The use of below control functions
requires version V2.0 Rev.02 or higher.
A system that consists of one or more
KLVV- and KLV(E) cassette air heaters can,
in part, be controlled by external control
components. The control components can
steer two functions:
1. switching system on/off
2. switching heating on/off
Below, it is explained how the functions
must be activated. For the adding of other
functions, see the manual "Touch Control".
WARNING:
• External control components must switch
with potential-free contacts.
1. switching system on/off
Using this function, the units within the
system can be simultaneously released
(KLV(E)) or switched on (KLVV). The
function can be steered using, for instance, a
timer switch.
1. Connect the control component to
terminals T and G of block X72 on the
KLVV's connector board within the
control system.
– If the terminals T and G make contact, the
system is switched on.
2. Set the adjustment range of the control
component at Global (see section

"Changing adjustment range").

2. switching heating on/off
Using this function, the total heating capacity
of the system can be used. The result of this
is that:
– all KLV(E) cassette air heaters are
switched on;
– the discharge temperature setting (see
chapter "Installation", section "Setting
discharge temperature") of all KLVV-R
cassette air heaters is released.
The function can be steered using, for
instance, a thermostat.
NOTE:
– The heating can be switched on only if the
system is switched on; the terminals T and
G on the connector board of the KLVV
must make contact (see control function 1).
1. Connect the control component to the
terminals T and G of block X72 on the
connector board of a KLV(E) within the
control system (see manual "Touch
Control").
– If the terminals T and G of the KLV(E) make
contact, the heating is switched on.
2. Set the adjustment range of the control
component at Global (see section
'Changing adjustment range').
Changing adjustment range
The connected control components may
switch on either all units within the system
(adjustment range "global") or only the unit
to which the control component is
connected (adjustment range "local"). The
adjustment range is, as a standard, set at
Local. Follow below instructions to change
the range to Global.
WARNING:
• Switch the power off.
1. Open the grilles.
2. Remove the bolt from the electronics lid
and open the lid.
3. Move jumper 6 (X64) on the PCB to the
reserve position (X65).
The control component now switches
Global.
4. Close the electronics lid.
5. Close the grille.

Putting into use

The unit is now configured and ready for
use.
