Safety features

The KLVV cassette air heater has three
safety features:
1. thermocontact
To protect the electric motors in the fans
against damage from overheating, they are
each fitted with a built-in thermocontact. It
will switch the fan off when the temperature
in the motor rises too high. The motor is
automatically switched on again when the
temperature has dropped sufficiently.
If the thermocontact switches the motor off
regularly, the fan is defective. Consult your
installer.
2. frost protection thermostat
To reduce the risk of damage due to water
in the heat exchanger freezing, the unit is
fitted with a frost protection thermostat. It
will close the ventilation valve and switch the
unit off if the temperature of the discharged
air is lower than 6 °C.

Safety considerations

The following safety considerations are
typical of the installation, use or maintenance
of a KLVV cassette air heater:
– The suspension frame should be
adequately secured to the ceiling slab
– Isolate the electric power supply prior to
opening the acces panel.
– Care should be taken when working by
the unit coil. Coil fins are manufactured
from thin gauge materials.
