Functional description

The fire helmets of the series Dräger HPS 7000 feature a
painted outer shell made
thermosetting plastic material with the following properties:
z Non-ageing
z Resistant to sunlight (UV rays)
z
Resistant to weathering and chemical and thermal
influences
The internal helmet components consist of comfort net,
support ring and harness. All parts of the internal helmet
components are adjustable to the head size of the wearer.

The fire helmets may be worn over a full face mask or as part
of a mask/helmet combination. Masks of the series
Dräger FPS 7000 and Panorama Nova S are suitable and
approved for the mask/helmet combination.
The fire helmets are available in two versions. All fire helmets
come standard with a front cover and face shield. The following
accessories are also available:
z Helmet lamp HPS 7000
The HPS 7000 helmet lamp is mounted with the
corresponding mounting plate instead of the front cover.
z External lamp
The lamp is mounted on the side of the helmet. The
associated lamp holder may be locked in different
positions.
z
Visors
The visor may be a face or eye shield. Alternatively, both
parts may be attached at the same time.
The face shield is lockable in three positions.
z CSA fastener
If the fire helmet is worn in a chemical protective suit, the
CSA fastener may be used. It prevents slippage of the face
shield.
z COM adapter
A communication module (e. g. Dräger HC-COM) may be
inserted in the COM adapter.
z Padding strips
Size 1 fire helmets are designed for head sizes from 50 cm
to 60 cm. Padding strips are available for head sizes from
50 to 52 cm, which is inserted additionally between support
ring and sweatband.
