Storage

Store the fire helmet cool and dry in a safe place. Avoid
exposure to direct sunlight during storage in order to prevent
any possible long term damage to the coating due to ultraviolet
radiation (especially in case of fluorescent paint).
Store visors in a clean, dry area out of direct sunlight and high
humidity.
As part of the original packaging, the visor is wrapped in a
protective film. This film should be left as is for storage. After
removal of the protective film, we recommend that you store
the visor in its fully-mounted position on the fire helmet.
Never store close to aggressive substances (e. g. solvents,
fuels). Storage temperature of 0 °C to 45 °C at normal ambient
pressure and a relative humidity up to 90 %

Service life

Check serviceability after each use (see chapter 3.5 on
page 21). The service life of the helmet and the visors depends
on the following factors:

Visors

Optical class of the visors
Protection against radiant heat offered by the visor depends on
the temperature of the heat source: The higher the source
temperature, the more damaging the heat reaching the eye.
The visors should only be used in situations in which they are
able to limit damaging radiant heat to less than 100 W/m
