Intended use

The fire helmets of the series HPS 7000 are intended for the
following applications:
z
Fire fighting
z
Rescue and recovery work
z
Work in conjunction with traffic accidents
z
All other work associated with a fire brigade
The fire helmets protect the head and face from the following:
z
Impacts
z
Sharp objects
z
Impact of solid objects
z
Contact with liquids, corrosive chemicals and molten
metals
z
Radiant heat
z
Flames
z
Contact with electricity
Face and eye shield are provided exclusively for use with the
fire helmets.

Approvals

The fire helmets are approved in accordance with the following
standards and regulations:
z
89/686/EEC
z
DIN EN 443:2008
z
DIN 58610
z
EN 137
The
visors
are
approved
DIN EN 14458:2004.
The fire helmets are to be used only with personal protective
equipment or accessories that are specifically designed for
use with these fire helmets.
WARNING
!
When the fire helmets are used with other personal
protective equipment or accessories that are not
approved for these helmets, approvals may become
null and void. The helmet must therefore not be
modified or fitted with third-party components.
Individual parts may only be replaced if the
replacement parts are of identical type to the individual
parts of the type-tested helmet or have been
specifically
approved
replacement parts. Incorrect or third-party internal
helmet components, the drilling of new holes for
accessories or other modifications to the fire helmet
adversely affect the protective function and invalidate
the approval.
