4.3.6 Replacing the function plate
Detach the function plate as follows:
1. Detach the internal helmet components (see chapter 4.3.4
on page 23).
2. If needed, detach the eye shield lever.
3. Remove the screw of the
CSA fastener (1).
4. If needed, remove the
screw of the lamp holder
(2).
5. Remove the function plate
from the helmet shell.
Attach the function plate as follows:
1. Insert the new function plate into the helmet shell.
2. Tighten the CSA fastener screw (torque: 1.1 Nm).
3. If needed, tighten the lamp holder screw (torque: 1.1 Nm).
4. If needed, screw down the eye shield lever (torque:
0.7 Nm).
5. Attach the internal helmet components (see chapter 4.3.4
on page 23).
4.3.7 Replacing the front cover
Detach the front cover as follows:
1. Detach the face shield (see chapter 4.3.3 on page 23).
2. Remove the screw.
3. Remove the front cover
from the helmet shell.
Attach the front cover as follows:
1. Make sure the O-ring is undamaged. Lubricate the O-ring
with Vaseline and insert into the helmet shell.
2. Position the new front cover or mounting plate of the
helmet lamp onto the helmet shell.
3. Tighten the screw (torque: 0.7 Nm).
4. Attach the face shield (see chapter 4.3.3 on page 23).

4.3.8 Replacing the neck guard holder
1. Detach the neck guard
from the 4 push buttons on
the inside of the neck guard
holder.
2. Detach the internal helmet components (see chapter 4.3.4
on page 23).
3. Detach the function plates (see chapter 4.3.6 on page 24).
4. Replace the neck guard holder.
5. Attach the function plates (see chapter 4.3.6 on page 24).
6. Attach the internal helmet components (see chapter 4.3.4
on page 23).
4.3.9 Replacing the O-rings
1. Detach the front cover (see chapter 4.3.7 on page 24).
2. Remove the old O-ring.
3. Lubricate a new O-ring with Vaseline and insert into the
helmet shell.
4. Attach the front cover (see chapter 4.3.7 on page 24).
5. Detach the eye shield (see chapter 4.3.5 on page 23).
6. Detach the screws of the eye shield levers and remove the
eye shield lever from the helmet shell.
7. Remove the holders of the eye shield levers from the
helmet shell.
8. Remove the O-rings from the holders.
9. Lubricate a new O-ring with Vaseline and place on the
holder.
10. Insert the holders of the eye shield levers from the helmet
shell.
11. Screw down the eye shield levers (torque: 0.7 Nm).
12. Attach the eye shield (see chapter 4.3.5 on page 23).
5 Transport
The fire helmet may be carried in a helmet bag or tote. If the
fire helmet is packed in a polybag or wrapped in a sufficient
amount of wrapping paper, it may be transported in a box as
well. All attached components may remain attached to the fire
helmet during transport. The visors should be open.
