Mounting the motor onto the right−angle gear unit:
Note
The drive head and the right−angle gear unit form a mated pair that must
not be separated.
Also the orientation of the right−angle gear unit (motor mounting from left/
right) must not be changed.
1. Clean drive shafts and coupling. The
coupling will only grip without slipping if
the drive shaft is dry and free of grease.
2. Move the cantilever arm until the
clamping screw of the coupling is
underneath a mounting hole B.
3. Unscrew the clamping screw of the
coupling a few turns.
4. Push the motor onto the right−angle gear unit.
The motor flange must fit backlash−free on the gear unit flange.
5. Tighten the connecting screws A in diagonally opposite sequence.
Torques: DGEA−18/25: 5.9 Nm DGEA−40: 24 Nm
6. Pull the clamping screw of the coupling tight through the mounting hole B.
Torques: DGEA−18/25: 4.5 Nm DGEA−40: 16.5 Nm
7. Press the plastic plugs into the mounting holes B
(protection against contamination).
· Commission the motor and the controller (preliminary comparison) in
accordance with the operating instructions.
