b) Before Commissioning
• Always take the IR transmitter in operation first, and the helicopter then. This is the only way for an attunement
function to take place between transmitter and receiver, so that your model will react reliably to the control commands
of your transmitter.
• Check the functional reliability of your model and of the IR transmitter. Watch out for any visible damage such as
defective plug connections or damaged cables. All moving parts of the model must run smoothly but should not have
any play in their bearings.
• The LiPo flight battery required for operation, which is firmly installed in the model helicopter, must be charged
before operation.
c) During Operation
• Do not take any risks when operating the product! Your own safety and that of your environment is solely down to
you being responsible when dealing with the model.
• Improper operation may cause serious injury and property damage! Therefore make sure to keep a sufficiently safe
distance to persons, animals or objects during operation.
• Fly your model only if your ability to respond is unrestricted. The influence of tiredness, alcohol or medication can
cause incorrect responses.
• The IR transmitter diode range is limited. Therefore, never fly more than 6 metres away from the IR adapter.
• If the blue operating control LED at the IR adapter starts flashing, stop flying and charge the battery in the IR adapter.
• Motors, motor regulator and flight battery can heat during operation. For this reason, take a break of 5 to 10 minutes
before recharging the flight battery.
• Never switch off the IR adapter (transmitter) while the model is in use. After landing, always switch off the helicopter
before the IR adapter.
• Never switch off the IR adapter while the helicopter is still switched on.
• Never expose your model or the IR adapter to direct sunlight or excessive heat for an extended period of time.
• Never recharge the flight battery in the IR adapter unattended.
• Disconnect the helicopter or IR adapter from the USB cable when it is fully charged.
Attention!
Switch off the helicopter with the function switch after flight. Do not leave the helicopter switched on when
you do not use it (e.g. during transport or storage). Otherwise, the flight battery may be fully discharged
and is thus destroyed/unusable!
