LIN-Speed Ctrl
3-StepSpdCtrl
Note:
The turbine can always be shut down immediately at any time by moving the throttle stick to idle and setting
the throttle trim to OFF.
Here are two examples:
Example 1:
Example 2:
"Speed-control" mode active, linear speed control applied.
The model's airspeed is controlled in a linear fashion between the values "Min
AirSpeed" (= throttle stick back) and "Max AirSpeed" (= throttle stick forward).
"Speed-control" mode active, speed controlled over three fixed increments.
The model's airspeed is controlled in three fixed steps between the values "Min
AirSpeed" (= throttle stick back) and "Max AirSpeed" (= throttle stick forward).
Speed 1:
"Min AirSpeed"
(from throttle stick idle to 1/3 travel)
Speed 2:
("Min. AirSpeed" + "Max. AirSpeed") / 2
(1/3 throttle stick travel to 2/3 travel)
Speed 3:
"Max AirSpeed"
(2/3 throttle stick travel to full-throttle)
Hold-Speed function
For example, if the option "SpdCtrl SW0 Act" is set to "Hold-Speed", the system works
in the following way when the 3-position switch is moved to position 0 (back):
The ECU measures the airspeed at the moment the switch is operated, stores it as the
nominal airspeed, and maintains the model at this airspeed by automatically regulating
the thrust of the turbine, regardless of the position of the throttle stick. This governing
function can be terminated immediately at any time by moving the 3-position switch
back to centre, which causes the system to revert to normal "Thrust control" mode.
If the model is not in the air at the time the switch is operated (i.e. airspeed < 40
km/hr) the turbine will be shut down immediately as previously (= standard function).
Linear speed governing
If the "SpdCtrl SW2 Act" option is set to "Lin-SpeedCtrl", the system works in the
following way when the 3-position switch is moved to position 2 (forward):
If the model is in the air at the moment the switch is operated (i.e. airspeed > 40
km/hr), the system switches to "Speed-control" mode, and the model's airspeed is
controlled in a linear fashion, proportional to the position of the throttle stick. The idle
position of the throttle stick corresponds to the airspeed set or learned under the "Min
AirSpeed" parameter. The full-throttle position of the throttle stick corresponds to the
airspeed set under the "Max AirSpeed" parameter (-> Limit menu).
If the model is not in the air at the moment the switch is operated (i.e. airspeed < 40
km/hr) the turbine will be shut down immediately via the AutoOff function (= standard
function).
