 Briefly press the foot release and lift
the front of the vacuum cleaner over
the obstacle.
Vacuuming using the suction hose
To avoid the risk of injury, do not
vacuum with the suction hose handle
at head level.
Do not vacuum directly with the
handle, i.e., without an accessory at-
tached, as the rim could get dam-
aged and you could hurt yourself on
sharp edges.
When vacuuming stairs, be sure
to place the vacuum cleaner on a
lower step to prevent the risk of in-
jury.
 Raise the vacuum cleaner into the
vertical position.
 Press the release button on the tele-
scopic wand to detach the suction
hose handle (Fig. 17).
 For increased stability, turn the elbow
joint at the bottom of the hose down-
wards as illustrated until it clicks into
position above the retainer (Fig. 18).
During normal vacuuming, the suc-
tion hose handle should be securely
connected to the telescopic wand.
Make sure the handle is also properly
hooked into its holder on the vacuum
cleaner (Fig. 17).
