2. Unit description

2.1. Overview

The INGECON SUN ComBox central communication hardware, with reference AAX7006, is an accessory with
which it is possible to:
Use a PC to connect locally to one or several inverters.
Centralise GPRS communication in an installation.
Gather meteorological variables (probes not included).
Gather the power setpoint established by the power utility and send it to the inverters.
Record logs of the meteorological variables and the power setpoint.

2.2. Optional accessories

The following communication accessories can be incorporated in the INGECON SUN ComBox, with the option of
different ways of communicating locally and/or remotely.
See chapter "8. Connecting the communication accessories" to proceed with connection.

2.3. Compliance with regulations

CE marking
CE marking is mandatory for the sale of any product within the European Union, without prejudice to standards or
laws. The INGECON SUN ComBox has CE marking by reason of its compliance with the following directives:
• Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC.
• Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2004/108/EC.

2.4. Protection class

The INGECON SUN ComBox meets IP20 protection class against external agents.
IP20 means that the unit is fully protected against the ingress of dust and water as defined in the standard
IEC60529.
