Setting the pitch curve:
Upper figure:
Set the control lever for the pitch function and the associated trimming and subtrimming to the centre positions. The levers
of the swash disc servo should not be aligned horizontally and be at a 90° angle to the linkage rods.
The swash disc, pitch compensator levers and paddle rocker should also be aligned horizontally.
Centre figure, top:
Take the pitch setting gauge and check the angle of attack of the rotor blades if the control lever for the pitch function is in
the centre position. Both rotor blades should have an angle of attack of 0°. if there are any deviations, adjust them with the
pitch linkage rod (1). The pitch adjustment gauge always has to be aligned in parallel to the paddle rod for measurements.
Centre figure, bottom:
Push the control lever for the pitch function in the top position (max. pitch). The rotor blades should now have an angle of
attack of +11° to +13°. If required, adjust the servo paths at the remote control transmitter accordingly. For the precise
procedure for setting the servo path and the swash plate mixer, see the documents of the respective remote control.
If the control lever for the pitch function is moved to the bottom-most position (max. negative pitch), the rotor blades should
have an angle of attack of -11° to -13°.
Lower figure:
After setting the pitch curve values, check the deflection values for the nod and roll functions. The precise values must be
determined later during the first attempts at flight.
The pitch curve from -13° to +13° is required for freestyle flying. For normal flight, we recommend setting the bottom point
of the pitch curve to approx. 40 – 45%. This results in a max. negative angle of attack of approx. -2° to -3°. Increase the
pitch curve to 55 – 60% in the middle range. This should cause the helicopter to hover when the pitch lever is in the centre
position.

Setting the tail linkage:
If the control lever for the tail function and the associated trimming and subtrimming are in their centre positions, the lever
of the tail servo must be at a 90° angle to the linkage rods. The tail gyro should, in this case, be in normal mode and not in
AVCS (heading hold) mode.
If the remote control steers to the right, the sliding sleeve of the tail rotor linkage must be pushed towards the gear casing
on the tail rotor shaft. If this is not the case, change the running direction of the tail servo at the transmitter.
Also check the effective direction of the gyro in this context. If the fuselage tip of the helicopter is turned to counter-
clockwise to the left when viewed from above, the sliding sleeve must also be moved towards the gear casing by the gyro.
If this is not the case, change the running direction of the tail servo at the gyro. Then adjust the maximum deflection of the
tail servo at the gyro.
