Page P.8
Upper figure:
Build the paddle rocker according to the drawing and connect the two linkage rods (also see page P.11, item #B) to the pitch
compensator levers.
Contrary to the assembly sketch, the construction set only includes adjustable rods #B for linkage to the paddle
rocker. Please observe the small note included with the linkage rod bag. The total length of the linkage lever must
be 41 mm.
Centre figure:
After assembly of the paddle rocker, push the paddle rod into the central piece and align the paddle rod so that it protrudes
evenly on either side of the rocker.
Turn the paddles onto the paddle rod and align the paddles precisely. The paddles only need to have a distance of 137.5 mm
to the rocker (see sketch) and must be aligned horizontally to the paddle rocker (see sketch at the page P.13, top).
Lower figure:
The figure shows the dive and bearing of the tail rotor drive shaft. Since the tailboom is already delivered with the shaft
installed ex works, no assembly work is required in this area.
Page P.9
Upper figure:
The figure shows the schematic setup of the tail rotor gear. Since the tailboom is installed with the gear pre-assembled ex
works already, no assembly work is necessary here.
Lower figure:
The figure shows the schematic setup of the tail rotor linkage.
The pre-assembled tail rotor is pushed onto the tail rotor shaft with the sliding sleeve according to the sketch and attached
with two grub screws M3x3. Observe that the two grub screws catch in the respective outer indentations of the tail rotor
shaft.
Verify the function of the tail rotor linkage after completion of the tail rotor unit. All components must work smoothly but
must not have any play in their bearings.
Page P.10
Upper figure:
The drawing starts the schematic setup of the tail rotor pre-assembled ex works with blade holders, ball bearings and blade
baring shaft.
Important!
Tighten the screws for the tail rotor blades only enough for the rotor blades to still cleanly align at a 180° to each
other in flight.
Centre figures:
The drawings show the tailboom setup and attachment of the tail rotor gear to the tailboom.
Lower figure:
Push the tailboom carefully back into the mechanics. Observe that the two pinions for the tail rotor drive interlock cleanly.
Observe that the pinions are not too close but have a distance of 0.1 mm.
When the tailboom fits perfectly and the rudder unit is aligned vertically, tighten the two chassis screws M3x18 (see page
P.2 lower figure) and the screws at the tow tailboom supports. Connect the tail rotor rods to the tail rotor servo (also see
page P.14, upper figure).
