DIRECTIONS FOR USE - GVMAXV2-2/V2-2R
v03.20

9.1 SUCTION AND VACUUM REGULATION

In effect the air-saving function allows to maintain
vacuum in the lifter ; once the vacuum rate
reached, the device stops and measures vacuum
(fixed at -0.75 bar = 75% of vacuum). On one
hand, if the system is air-tight, the GVMAXV2-2
(V2-2R) will not start before a time >3mn.
On the other hand if the clappings are closed to
each other the lifter system is not air-tight, and
so in accordance.
With time, the lifter hands may present some leaks, this same handling described above would be
realized by using the control tools of the maintenance department existing at the moment.
Remark : This vacuum switch connected to the ejector is useful for checking the tightness of
the lifter hands.
The number of switching and by the way the saving of compressed air depend on the surface and on
the density of the parts to be manipulated, on the impermeability of the vacuum system (hoses, con-
nections, suction cups) and also on the volume to be aspirated. With very porous parts, it is possible
to reach a number of switching relatively important which does not contribute a lot to the saving of
compressed air and which can generate a quicker wearing off of the system.
The GVMAXV2-2 (V2-2R) is fitted out with a vacuum switch adjusted
with the following values (values used in the Automotive industry):
OUTPUT 1 - VACUUM SETTINGS (function NO)
Switching point ON (H1): -0.75 bar (75% of vacuum)
Switching point OFF (L1): -0.65 bar (65% of vacuum)
OUTPUT 2 - GRIPPING STATUS (function NO)
Switching point ON (H2): -0.65 bar (65% of vacuum)
Switching point OFF (L2): -0.55 bar (55% of vacuum)
GVMAXV2-2
with vacuum switch PSA100BGU (non adjustable).
GVMAXV2-2R with vacuum switch PSA100B (adjustable).
Adjustment of vacuum switch parameters (See vacuum switch adjustment instructions, chapter 11)
ƒ The original settings should not be modified without valid reason.
ƒ These parameters may be modified for a specific application (See PSA100B vacuum switch adjust-
ment instructions, chapter 11).
ƒ In case of modification of the set values, take care that the hysteresis is not too much reduced
(H1-L1≥0.10 bar) in order to limit the frequency of the ejector activation. The lifetime of the ejector
is thus favoured.
Caution: The configuration of output 1 must stay "NO".

9.2 BLOW-OFF

ƒ In "blow-off" position, apply the incoming voltage simultaneously to the poles 2 and 4 of the M12
connector "automatons outputs" in order to prevent an inefficient «ejection» due to a continuation
of "suction".
