b. Air-cooled, built-in units (version LE)
1. Switch off the machine at the production switch (Position
"Produktion aus/off").
2. Lift the air-inlet grille on the side and remove towards the front.
The air intake duct is now accessible, and the condenser fins can
be cleaned.
3. Loosen dirt particles, dust and fluff using a brush with coarse
bristles (not a metal brush!) and remove using a vacuum
cleaner.
4. Remove the filter fleece from the air intake grille and brush
thoroughly. In case of strong contamination, e.g. grease deposits,
wash out the filter fleece in warm water with fat-dissolving rinsing
solution and dry prior to reinstallation.
5. Insert the air intake grille and start up the machine (Position
"Produktion ein/on").
NOTE: If the condenser fins are heavily soiled, the machine must be
removed. Switch off the production switch (Position "Produktion
E
aus/off"), pull out the machine towards the front, pull the power plug
N
and clean the fins with compressed air. Then follow the cleaning
G
instructions as described above.

CAUTION: When the device is pushed back in, the water drain tube may become bent or kinked, thus
S
preventing draining of the water. Please keep an eye on the tube during re-assembly.

7.2 Maintenance

L
Regularly (approx. once a month) check the water supply tube and water drain tube for leaks and adequate
I
slope.
S
For water-cooled machines, the cooling water controller should be checked regularly for proper function,
H
because failure of the cooling water controller to close or close fully will lead to increased water consumption
and therefore higher operating costs. The condensation temperature should be 30°C. With the machine
A
switched off, no water should emerge from the cooling water drain tube. Built-in machines may have to be
N
removed for this purpose.
G
During reinstallation, prevent bending or kinking of the drain tube or the cooling water drain tube, so that the
L
water can drain freely!
A
I
S
Other maintenance work should only be carried out by authorised WESSAMAT service technician or
service staff from authorised specialised dealers!
The frequency of maintenance depends on the place of installation and the water quality (e.g. water hardness,
contaminants etc.). Maintenance schedules therefore have to be determined individually and can either be
agreed jointly or recommended by your specialist dealer.
