11. Care and Storage

Careful handling as well as continuous service and care of the product
are required to guarantee proper function of the paint spray gun. Clean
the paint spray gun and check for proper function and leakage after each
use. After cleaning, dry the entire paint spray gun with clean compressed
air and lubricate moving parts with SATA gun grease (Art. No. 48173).

Risk of injury from sudden component separation or escaping
material.
If the compressed air circuit and material supply are not disconnected
before performing cleaning work, components can detach and/or materi-
al escape unexpectedly.
→ Always disconnect paint spray gun from compressed air circuit and
material supply before performing any cleaning work.
Notice!
Damage due to use of the wrong type of cleaning agent
Use of aggressive cleaning agents can damage the paint spray gun.
→ Do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
Use only suitable cleaning fluids for cleaning.
→ Use a neutral cleaning agent with a pH value of 6 – 8.
→ Do not use acids, alkalis, bases, paint stripper, unsuitable regener-
ates or other aggressive cleaning agents.
Immersing the paint spray gun in the cleaning fluid can cause corrosion.
→ Do not immerse paint spray gun in cleaning fluid.
Improper cleaning tools can damage the bores and have a negative
effect on the spray pattern.
→ Use SATA cleaning brushes only.
→ Never use ultra-sonic cleaning equipment.
