• When you have parked your vehicle, always pull the extension cord out of the socket. There is a risk that the battery of your vehicle may
be discharged.
• When using this extension cord, only connect consumers with a power consumption no greater than 10 A.
• This extension cord doesn't have its own fuse.
• Lay the cable openly and loosely. Do not lay the cable between seat cushions or under foot mats. Do not cover, for example, with clothing,
blankets or seat covers. This is a fire risk.
• The extension cord may not be bent, crushed, trapped or stretched.
• If the extension cord displays damage, broken plastic parts on the plug or coupling, shearing of the cable insulation, or similar, the exten-
sion cord may not be used.

5. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Before you connect a device to the extension cord, find out from the manufacturer what the power consumption of the device is. This informa-
tion in frequently included in the manual or on the type plate.

5.2 CONNECTING A 12 V – DEVICE USING THE EXTENSION CORD
Make sure that your 12 V – device is switched off. Connect the plug belonging to the connection cable of your 12 V – device with the coupling of the exten-
sion cord. Lay the extension cord within the vehicle according to the safety precautions. Then insert the plug of the extension cord into the 12 V – socket of
your vehicle. Now you may operate the 12 V – device.
5.3 OPERATION
Regularly check the plugged connections to ensure that they are firm and safe. Pay attention to unusually intensive warming of the cable. In
the event of irregularities, immediately switch off the 12 V – device and pull the plug of the extension cord out of the socket of your vehicle.
5.4 REMOVING THE EXTENSION CORD
First switch off the 12 V – device. Pull the plug of the extension cord out of the socket of your vehicle. Then separate the extension cord from your 12 V –
device. Seal the coupling with the protective cap.
6. MAINTENANCE AND CARE
6.1 MAINTENANCE
The extension cord is maintenance-free when used in accordance with the intended purpose.
6.2 CARE
Clean the extension cord with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or solvent-based cleaners. Never allow liquids to ingress into the
housing of the plug or coupling.

Electrical devices may not be disposed of via the ordinary household waste! Please dispose of this device via the public/municipal collection
points.
