INTENDED USE
▶ The actuators and their accessory parts may only be used in
the application cases described and set down in the respective
operating instructions, and only in connection with third-party
devices or components recommended or permitted by Bürkert.
Any other use is not considered the intended use.
▶ Observe the directions of this assembly manual as well as the
conditions of use and permissible data specified in the operat-
ing instructions and on the type plate of the components used.
▶ The proper function and safe operation of the system depends
on professional transportation, professional storage and installa-
tion, and careful operation and maintenance.

BASIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
These safety instructions do not make allowance for any
• contingencies and events which may arise during the installation,
operation and maintenance of the devices.
• local safety regulations – the operator is responsible for observing
these regulations, also with reference to the installation personnel.
DANGER!
Danger – high pressure.
▶ Before loosening the lines and valves, turn off the pressure and
vent the lines.
Risk of electric shock.
▶ Before reaching into the system, switch off the power supply
and secure to prevent reactivation.
▶ Observe applicable accident prevention and safety regulations
for electrical equipment.
Risk of injury when unscrewing the transparent cap.
The transparent cap must not be under pressure when
unscrewed.
▶ When unscrewing the transparent cap, only the lower piston
chamber may be pressurized with compressed air via the lower
control air connection.
