10.3.1 W ork to be carried out before
installation
→
Interrupt supply of medium
→
Empty valve body.
→
Bring actuator into the upper piston position. To do this, pres-
surize the lower piston chamber with compressed air via the
lower control air connection (control function A and I).
→
Unscrew transparent cap from actuator cover
(Follow safety instructions Chapter "10", page 19!).
→
Screw off position indicator (yellow screw cap) by hand.
→
Screw spindle cap ③ of the position indicator onto the end of
the spindle (size 14).
→
Then interrupt supply of control air.
10.3.2 Installation and start-up
→
Screw adapter ② instead of transparent cap onto actuator
(see "Fig. 12").
→
Screw electrical position feedback ① into adapter ②, following
the note in Chapter "10", page 19.

Loosen cap screw ③ on the cable plug and remove.
NOTE!
Functional failure due to buckled connector lugs preventing
re-installation of the contact insert.
▶ Carefully remove the contact insert and take care to ensure that
the connector lugs do not become buckled.
→
Loosen hollow screw in the contact insert ②, take contact insert
out of the cap.
→
Lead cable through coupling nut ⑧.
