10 ELECTRICAL POSITION
FEEDBACK
with optical position indicator
DANGER!
Danger – high pressure.
▶ Before making alterations to the devices, switch off the pressure
and vent the lines.
Risk of injury when unscrewing the transparent cap.
The transparent cap must not be under pressure when
unscrewed.
▶ When unscrewing the transparent cap, only the lower piston
chamber may be pressurized with compressed air via the lower
control air connection.
NOTE!
Damage to the micro switch.
• When screwing in or unscrewing the electrical position feedback,
never use the cable plug as a lever, but grip the screw-in base of
the position feedback.

10.1.1 W ork to be carried out before
installation
→
Interrupt supplies of control air and medium.
→
Unscrew transparent cap from actuator cover
(Follow safety instructions Chapter "10", page 19!).
→
Screw out position indicator with Allen key (size 5).
10.1.2 Installation and start-up
→
Screw adapter ② (see "Fig. 10") instead of transparent cap onto
actuator
→
Screw electrical position feedback ① (see "Fig. 10") into adapter
