12. Once the cords are attached, pull and lock the cords
in the cleats (A) on the lift. There should be no
slack in the cords. (See Fig. 10 )
WARNING
To avoid injury to the patient, pay close
attention when lowering or adjusting the
spreader bar.
13. Attach the clips to the Sara Plus lugs under the
Arc-Rest. (See Fig. 17 ) & (See Fig. 2 )
14. Make adjustments on the cords so that any slack
is taken up by each cord and the back section
supports the patient comfortably and securely.
(See Fig. 18 )
15. Allow the patient to hold on to the hand grips with
their arms resting on the Sara Plus Arc-Rest. See
the Sara Plus IFU. (See Fig. 19 )
16. Slightly lift the patient up to create some tension.
See the Sara Plus IFU.
WARNING
To avoid the patient from falling, make sure
that the sling attachments are attached
securely before and during the lifting
process.

17. Make sure the sling is attached correctly and the
cords are locked. If an adjustment is needed, lower
the patient and make sure that the weight of the
patient is taken up by the receiving surface before
removing the clip.
18. Ask the patient to assist during the lifting exercise
and to actively stand up.
19. Continue lifting until the patient is in a comfortably
supported standing position. See the Sara Plus
IFU.
20. If any discomfort is experienced by the patient,
return to seated position and re-adjust the sling.
21. If a walking practice is to be carried out make
sure that the patient is correctly and comfortably
supported.
22. Release the brakes of the Sara Plus.
23. Move the Sara Plus away from the chair and close
the chassis legs if opened. See the Sara Plus IFU.
24. Transport the patient or continue with walking
practice by removing the foot stand. See the Sara
Plus IFU.

Readjust straps and cords so these equally take
up any slack
Readjust Arc-Rest, if necessary.
