Soft tip
(B)
The soft tip of the Qleaf is made of a
biocompatible plastic and designed as a
disposable, thus enabling it to be replaced
regularly. For its maintenance and cleaning,
please refer to the chapter 'Maintenance and use'
(page 14-15). The illustration can be diff erent
from your choice of size for soft tip.
Sound opening (6)
The processed and amplifi ed sound emits
through this opening and is directed towards the
ear drum.
Domes (7)
The domes ensure a seal, which prevents the
sound of the speaker to interfere with that of the
microphone. Additionally, the domes provide a
good 'grip' inside the ear.

Pull cord (8)
To take the Qleaf out of the ear, the pull cord is
used. After insertion of the Qleaf the pull cord
will be situated behind the tragus (page 12),
which makes it nearly invisible.
Battery
(C)
Qleaf uses type 10 cell batteries, in the package
indicated with a yellow sticker. The device is
switched off upon the removal of the battery.

The daily use of Qleaf

Before you start any of the actions mentioned in
chapters 'The daily use of Qleaf' and 'Maintenance
and use' , make sure you are using a clean and
horizontal working surface.

Placing the battery

While using a new battery: fi rst remove the
sticker from the + pole. Hold the module
(coloured side indicator facing to the right) and
insert the battery as indicated (see image).

Removing the battery

Hold the module and remove the battery with the
added tool (see image).
