Feature description

Special facepiece spectacles are available for users who wear
spectacles. A welder's protective visor is available for retrofitting
facepieces with metal visor frame.
The standard thread connection conforming to EN 148-1 is designed
to fit canisters, powered air-purifying respirators, self-contained
breathing apparatus and air line breathing apparatus.
The facepieces can be used within a temperature range between
-22 °F to 140 °F (-30 °C to +60 °C).

Intended use
The facepieces protect the face and eyes against aggressive media.
2.4
Limitations on use
When the facepiece is used with a canister,
the ambient air must contain at least 19.5 % of oxygen; observe

Approvals
The facepieces in combination with canisters, powered air-purifying

apparatus have been certified by NIOSH in compliance with title 42,
Code of Federal Regulations, Part 84. Only combinations that are
approved by NIOSH may be used (see page 85).

3.1
In order to make sure that the correct facepiece size is used, perform
a quantitative fit test. The fit test is to be conducted in accordance with
the requirements outlined in the OSHA Respiratory Protection
Standard 29 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 1910.134.

Prerequisites for use

Facial hair under the facepiece seal can cause leaks. The
facepiece should not be used by people with beards and
sideburns. There is danger of poisoning.
The bow of glasses under the facepiece seal also causes
leaks. A spectacle kit should be used in such cases.
