Functional description

The full-face masks have a round thread connection according to
EN 148-1. The full-face masks are suitable for respiratory filters, fan
filter units, SCBAs and air line systems with round thread connection
according to EN 148-1 (RA).
The masks can be used at temperatures from -30°C to +60°C.
Mask spectacles are available for users who wear spectacles. A
welding protection visor can be refitted for full-face masks with metal
frame.

Intended use

The full-face masks protect the face and eyes from aggressive media.
2.4

Limitations on use

WARNING
!
Beards and sideburns in the sealing area of the full face mask
will cause leakages! Therefore the full face mask should not
be used by anyone with facial hair of this sort. Spectacle
frames in the sealing area also cause leakages. Use special
mask spectacles.
2.5 Approvals
The full-face masks are approved as facepieces according to EN 136
Cl. 3 or Cl. 2 and carry the CE mark. They meet the requirements of
PPE Directive 89/686/EEC and correspond to the NIOSH regulations
from the USA. They are approved in Australia and New Zealand
according to AS/NZS 1716:2012.

The full-face masks may only be used with approved normal-pressure
lung demand valves, fan filter units, normal-pressure air line systems
or respiratory filters with round thread connection according to
EN 148-1 (RA).
The full-face masks are tested in accordance with 94/9/EC for use in
potentially explosive atmospheres and can be used in the following
zones:
Zone 0, 1, 2 for gases
of explosion group IIA, IIB, IIC
Zone 0, 1, 2 for gases
of explosion group IIA, IIB
Zone 1, 2 for gases
of explosion group IIA, IIB, IIC
Zone 1, 2 for gases
of explosion group IIA, IIB
Potentially dust explosive
atmospheres of zone 21, 22
