[USB TO HOST] PORT OPERATION
The [USB TO HOST] connector can be used to exchange the MIDI data transmitted and received by Legend /
Legend Classic / Legend Live with external devices (personal computers, expander).
As described previously, Legend / Legend Classic / Legend Live can transmit MIDI data in different ways.
With regard to the [USB TO HOST] port, you can select how to transmit MIDI data.
While holding down [TRANSPOSE SELECT] and pressing the C#1 key of the upper manual, the [USB TO
HOST] port operates like [OUT 1].
While holding down [TRANSPOSE SELECT] and pressing the D#1 key of the upper manual, the [USB TO
HOST] port works like [OUT 2].
TRANSMISSION OF THE CONTROL CHANGE 11 WITH THE PEDAL CONNECTED TO
THE [EXPR.] CONNECTOR
Most musical instruments with a MIDI interface transmit the MIDI Control Change message n. 11 when acting
on the expression pedal connected, so as to control in real time and in a continuous manner the volume of an
external sound generator.
In Legend / Legend Classic / Legend Live you can choose whether to transmit (default condition) or not to
the [MIDI OUT] and [USB TO HOST] (when acting as OUT 1) ports this MIDI data, so you can adjust the
volume of both instruments or just the volume of the Legend / Legend Classic / Legend Live.
If you hold down [TRANSPOSE SELECT] and press the G#4 key of the upper manual, CC 11 is not transmitted.
By holding down [TRANSPOSE SELECT] and pressing the A#4 key of the upper manual, CC 11 is transmitted.
MIDI DUMP FUNCTION
If you need to register the current instrument configuration (drawbars, buttons, potentiometers and pedals) on
an external sequencer, after you start recording hold down the [TRANSPOSE SELECT] button and press the
C3 key on the upper manual. Use the same button and key combination if you want to reset the instrument with
the current panel configuration after receiving a different setting from the sequencer at playback time.

6.3 GOSPEL SET

The Gospel musicians had a habit of playing exclusively with the lower manual. Therefore, to adjust the
drawbars of a classic electromechanical organ they had to cross their arms, since the lower manual drawbars
are on the right. To make access to drawbars faster and more convenient, drawbar circuits were inverted, so
that the lower manual drawbars were on the left.
Legend / Legend Classic / Legend Live allows you to simulate this organ setting. To activate the Gospel
mode, press and hold the [TRANSPOSE SELECT] button, then at the same time press the D1 key on the upper
manual. Doing so, the first two Sets on the left control the lower manual, while the two sets to the right control
the upper manual.
To return to normal use, press and hold [TRANSPOSE SELECT], and simultaneously press the C1 key of the
upper manual.

6.4 TONE CONTROL

In the original electromechanical organs equipped with the AO-28 preamplifier, there is a TONE CONTROL
knob that allows you to greatly modify the frequency response by attenuating the high frequencies.
Legend / Legend Live allows you to simulate this control with the [TREBLE] potentiometer.
To do so, while holding down [TRANSPOSE SELECT], press the F4 key in the upper manual. To restore normal
