- [ANALOG IN]: line input for signal from an external audio device. This signal is then modified by the
equalizer and the internal effects Reverb, Drive and Rotary of the Legend / Legend Classic / Legend
Live, then sent to the outputs [LEFT], [RIGHT], [ROTARY SPEAKER] and [PHONES] (also on the front).
- [INPUT GAIN] trimmer: adjust the gain of the signal from the input connector [ANALOG IN] within a
range from -∞ (input impedance: 7,5 KΩ, signal level: 0 V) to + 16dB (input impedance: 17,5 KΩ, signal
level 400 mVpp).
NB
If you do not want to process the signal present at the [ANALOG IN] connector with the internal effects and the
equalizer, follow the instructions in par. 6.8.
3. [PEDALS CONTROLS] connectors.
- [EXP]: connect here the expression pedal's cable, for continuous volume control during the
performance. Use with:
Expression pedal of the optional Viscount pedalboard (EXPRESSION cable).
Optional Viscount expression pedal.
Any expression pedal.
- [ROTARY]: connect here the cable from the pedal you wish to use to control the speed of the internal
Rotary effect. It can also be used to control the speed of an external rotating speaker connected to the
[ROTARY SPEAKER] port (see point 1 of this paragraph).Use with:
Control lever on the expression pedal of the optional Viscount pedalboard (ROTARY cable).
Optional Viscount switch pedal.
Any switch type pedal.
The operation of the pedal plugged to this connector is determined by the position of the control lever on
the instrument (see point 21 of par. 3.2), as described in the following table:
Lever position
BRAKE
SLOW
FAST
When the rotation speed is selected through this pedal, the led of the [ROTARY DIRECT] button
(Legend and Legend Classic model) or [ROTARY CLASSIC/ROCK] (Legend Live) flashes, in order to
indicate that the selected speed does not correspond to that indicated by the current position of the
instrument's control lever (see point 21 of par. 3.2).
NB
-
When switching on, the instrument automatically detects the polarity of the switch pedals connected to the
[ROTARY] and [HOLD] connectors. Do not hold down the pedals when turning the power on, to avoid reversing
the operation of the pedals.
-
The operation of the pedals connected to the [EXP] and [ROTARY] connectors can be customized. For more
information see par. 6.7.
- [HOLD]: plug here the cable from the switch pedal that you wish to use for the piano Sustain effect. This
way, when the pedal is pressed, the notes played on the upper manual keep playing even after the key
is released, and until the pedal is released. Use with:
Control lever on the expression pedal of the optional Viscount pedal set (ROTARY cable).
Optional Viscount switch pedal.
Any switch type pedal.
4. [MIDI] connectors.
- [IN]: connector for receiving data from an external MIID unit. Connect this port to the MIDI OUT port of a
transmitting device (e.g. a sequencer).
- [PEDALS KEYB ONLY]: connect here the optional Viscount pedalboard or any other MIDI pedalboard.
