2.1 GENERAL FEATURES OF LEGEND, LEGEND CLASSIC AND LEGEND
LIVE
Legend, Legend Classic and Legend Live are two-manual digital organs that can simulate, thanks to the
new sound generation technology TMT (Tonewheel Modeling Technology), all the features of the
electromechanical organ commonly known as Hammond.
This innovative synthesis technology with physical models takes into account all the factors that affect the
sound of the original organs, such as the perfect synchronization of the sound wheel, imperfect electrical
circuits, engine noises, etc ...
Each manual has two sets of nine drawbars, plus two drawbars for the Viscount optional pedalboard or any
other MIDI pedalboard. Without a pedalboard, these two drawbars can be played with the first two octaves of
the lowest manual.
The Legend and Legend Classis models have inverted colours on the first octave of both manuals, that can
be used for the selection of one of the two drawbar Sets or the 9 user editable Presets.
The Legend Live model allows the selection of two sets, and two presets for each Manual, through the buttons
on the left panel.
Keyboards are of "waterfall" type. Every organ effect and noise can be controlled through the panel. Options
include reverb level, reverb type, distortion, rotating speaker type, percussion, three-band equalizer, Keyclick
and Crosstalk noise.
The user can select six different types of electromechanical organ from different periods, each with its own
sound features.
There are also the typical effect controls, such as Vibrato and Chorus, percussion and the famous lever speed
switch of the Rotary loudspeaker. The organ makes it possible to simulate this speaker, but it is also possible
to connect a real one through the classic 11-pin connector on the back panel.
Furthermore, it is also possible to use the instrument as the Gospel musicians did, that is, with inverted
drawbar sets.

This software is compatible with Windows and
Mac OS and is available for download at

Install it on your computer to fine tune all the
sound generation parameters, such as the
signal level of each single drawbar, the click
level, the Modulation parameters of the Vibrato
and Chorus effects, the overdrive effect (choose
between different styles), the speed and
acceleration of the rotary speaker and many
other settings.
The application also allows you to save and load
these parameters on your computer and to
upload new organ models to the instruments.
These new models will be made available on the
official website.
FEATURES OF THE JDF SIGNATURE EDITION
- The three models were derived from three tonewheel organs from Joey's personal collection. These organs were
used to record many of his albums and for his live perfomances.
- Organ clones with sound model and related effects (Vibrato, Chorus, Percussion and Rotary Simulator) were
personally tuned by Joey.
