Brief description of the press device

7.1 Automatic press cycle (Fig. 1)
The device features an automatic press cycle. This ensures that the pressing operation is
always completed. For safety reasons, the automatic press cycle is only activated after a certain
compression force or distance has been reached (after approx. 2 seconds). Until this is
achieved, the pressing operation can be interrupted at any time by releasing the start button
(1/Fig. 1) The piston remains in the position reached when the start button (1/Fig. 1) is released
before the automatic press cycle (ZWAG) begins. The red light flashes. Press the start button
(1/Fig. 1) to retract the piston. Press the start button (1/Fig.1) for approx. 2 seconds to start the
pressing operation again. When the automatic press cycle is in progress, pressing operation is
performed automatically and can not be interrupted by releasing the start button (1/Fig. 1). The
operation can only be interrupted by pressing the stop button (4/Fig. 1).
7.2

Acoustic signal

When the pressing operation was carried out correctly an acoustic signal sounds after
completion. In the event of faults or incorrect pressing operation the acoustic signal sounds 6
times (see Section 8.2)
7.3 Retaining pin safeguard (Fig. 1)
The electronic safeguard verifies whether the retaining pin (5/Fig. 1) has been inserted as far as
the stop. The machine cannot be commissioned if the retaining pin (5/Fig. 1) has been inserted
incorrectly.
7.4 Stop button (Fig. 1)
The stop button (4/Fig. 1) has two functions:
Emergency stop: The motor is shut off immediately when the stop button is pressed (4/Fig. 1)

8.1 Preparing the ECO301

The fault indication will be deleted.
See section 8.2 for information on how to proceed.
Information!
The device will not start if the retaining pin (5) is incorrectly inserted. The green LED
flashes.
Information!
The press device is not suitable for continuous operation. Following 30
minutes of continuous operation, a short break of at least 15 minutes
must be taken to allow the device to cool down.
Insert the press jaw/adaptor jaw into the press device as shown in Fig. 2 to 4.
