Cleaning and maintaining the appliance

11. Cleaning and maintaining the
appliance
DANGER!
Any maintenance work must be carried out when the appliance has cooled
down and the plug has been removed from the socket.
Do not allow water to splash into the appliance.

Replacing the protective filter

The temperature sensor only functions correctly if the protective filter film is
clean and undamaged. As a result, the sensor must be examined regularly (at
least every 3 months).
1. Remove the protective filter by moving it forwards and check the condition
of the filter.
2. If required, replace the filter.
3. Re-insert the protective filter.
4 separate protective filters are supplied with the appliance. New filters can be
ordered from the technical Customer Service Centre.
CAUTION:
Do not touch the protective film.
Do not attempt to clean the protective filter.
11.2

Cleaning the appliance

The housing of the Infrared heater, models S32/S33, should be cleaned regularly
to remove dust and dirt that has accumulated during treatments.
DANGER!
Do not remove particles of dirt in the heater housing and the ventilation slits
using a tail comb or any other sharp object. Electric shock hazard.
WARNING!
Clean the appliance using a soft, moistened cloth only. The housing – but not
the display – may also be cleaned using an ethanol-based cleaning agent.
Do not use benzene, paint thinners or caustic cleaning agents.
