Maintenance by the user

DANGER! Risk of electric shock injuries
When still connected to the mains, the appliance remains electrically live even
after it has been switched off at the main switch. Touching live parts of the ap-
pliance can result in a potentially fatal electric shock.
In the case of an appliance on the tripod or wall mounting, disconnect the
mains plug and secure it against being reconnected.
In the case of a floor or ceiling-mounted appliance (not shown), disconnect
the power supply at the breaker switch and secure it against being
switched back on.
Protect the appliance from splashes of water and do not use wet methods
of cleaning.
Never insert objects into the openings of the appliance.
Do not remove dust or foreign objects with pointed or conductive objects,
e.g. tail comb, wire brush or similar.
Fire hazard / damage to appliance
Do not use petrol, paint thinner or other highly flammable substances for
cleaning.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring agents.

Cleaning the housing, tripod and wall arm

The housing and moving parts of the appliance are made from robust, low-
maintenance materials. You avoid discolouration if you remove product resi-
dues from the plastic immediately.
1. Allow appliance to cool down.
2. Switch off appliance at main switch.
3. Disconnect the mains plug / switch off the mains power supply and secure
it against being switched on again.
4. Clean the surfaces of the appliance with a soft cloth, which has been slight-
ly moistened with water and a little washing-up liquid and squeezed out
well.
5. Only clean the blower outlet grid, temperature sensor and filter cover with
a dry brush, or vacuum using a brush attachment.
