Mount the Panels

IMPORTANT: Start at one of the top corners of the desired coverage area
and work toward the other in horizontal rows.
1.
Measure from the starting edge of the desired coverage area to the
center of the last wooden stud that is within 8 ft. (2.43 m).
2.
Cut the first panel to this length, making sure the cut is square.
NOTE: Panels shorter than 24 in. (60.96 cm) long should not be used.
3.
Place the panel above the horizontal chalk line applied in the
"Prepare the Wall" section. Align the panel with both the starting
edge and the horizontal chalk line. Panels are installed with the
interlock tongue up and the groove down.
4.
Check that the panel is level. Then place a screw in every slot at
every stud location. Drive the screws through the slot groove until
they are flush.
5.
Continue this process until you reach the opposite edge of the
desired coverage area.
6.
Then start a new row, remembering to stagger the panels if
necessary. (See the "Panel Location Requirements" section.)
4
7.
Continue in this manner until the wall is complete. Periodically, check
to be sure the panels are level.
1
8.
The final row of panels can be rip cut lengthwise to fit the required
height.
9.
Begin additional walls in the same manner as the first, starting with
the corner that meets the completed wall. Be sure to align the panel
slots.
For a trimless installation, place new panels snugly against the
existing panels.
For a trimmed installation, refer to the "GearWall™ Options" section
for ideas.
NOTE: The current trim options do not apply to masonry block or
poured concrete wall installation.
