c) Checking the Transmitter's Power Supply
When new batteries or freshly charged rechargeable batteries have been inserted, switch on the transmitter with the function switch (see figure 3, item 6) for test
purposes. The red and green LEDs of the operating voltage display (see fig 3, item 7) are both lit and signal sufficient power supply of the transmitter.
If the battery voltage drops below 9 V, the red LED starts to flash and the transmitter emits brief signal sounds. In this case you should stop operating your model
as soon as possible and recharge the batteries or insert a complete new set of batteries.
d) Setting the Transmitter Aerial
For best transmitter range to the model, align the aerial so that it is at a 90° angle to the direct connection line between transmitter and receiver.
Transmission to the model is worst when you point the aerial tip directly towards the model.
e) Placing the Receiver Aerials
The two aerials must be placed as straight as possible.
Place the aerials at a 90° angle to each other to ensure best reception of the transmitter signal.
Place the aerials as far away from any electric components, cables, metal and carbon fibre parts as possible.
