Maintain the following parameters during washing:
Water temperature:
62 °C ±2 °C
4 rinse cycles

Drying of chemical protective suit
CAUTION
!
The chemical protective suit must not be spin-dried to
avoid damage.
The chemical protective suit must be completely dried,
e.g., to avoid the formation of mold.
1. Remove any excess liquid from the chemical protective
suit, e.g., with a sponge, before drying.
2. Dry all internal and external parts thoroughly.
The chemical protective suit can be dried by blowing with
dry, oil-free compressed air or in a suit drying cabinet:
– maximum temperature: 40 °C
– minimum time: 120 minutes
Avoid exposure to direct heat or continuous sunshine.

drying equipment identical in construction
3. Reinsert the backpack pad (if applicable).
4. Carry out a visual inspection of the chemical protective suit,
visor, safety boots and gloves.
5. Reinsert the antifog visor (if applicable).
6. Refit the ventilation unit and D-connect (if applicable).

Maintaining the fastener system

1. Liberally grease the fastener system after each use and
each cleaning and disinfection process. Only use the
grease stick supplied by Dräger.
2. In particular, make sure to adequately grease the links of
the chain of the zipper mechanism and the area
underneath the links of the chain on which the zipper tab
runs.

Protruding textile threads can be removed using a
lighter to prevent the zip fastener from becoming stuck.
The flame must only come into contact with the zip
fastener for a few split seconds to avoid damage or
deformation.

Examining the tightness of the chemical
protective suit

The
test
is

Porta Control
. You can carry out the tests with other
test devices, but the indicated values must be
observed.
Carry out the test according to EN 464 at room
temperature (20 °C ±5 °C).
Test equipment and accessories:
Porta Control
Compressed air pistol
Compressed air supply
5.5.1
Preparing the test
1. Check the Porta Control for leaks.
2. Close the fastener system and spread out the chemical
protective suit front-down on a clean and even surface.
3. Protect the visor with a soft underlay in order to avoid
scratches.
4. Take the protective caps off all suit valves and remove the
valve discs.
5. Fit the test cap on the right suit valve and connect to the
Porta Control.
6. Close the test hose with sealing plugs.
7. Fit another test cap to the left suit valve and connect to the
compressed air pistol via hose connection and hose clip.
