5.3.1
Manual cleaning and disinfection using Sekusept
Cleaner and Incidin
1. Remove the backpack pad (if fitted) and clean it separately
in clean, warm water.
2. Remove the ventilation unit, D-connect, antifog visor and
Fall-Connect (if fitted), clean separately and disinfect.
Thoroughly rinse all parts in clean water after cleaning.
CAUTION
!
Do not immerse the antifog visor longer than 5 minutes
in the liquid, otherwise the antifog coating will come off.
3. Remove the protective caps, the covers of the suit valves
(if fitted) and the valve discs from the suit valves.
4. Clean the valve discs separately in clean, warm water.
5. Clean the chemical protective suit, the covers of the suit
valves and protective caps with lukewarm water and

Cleaner and a soft cloth (temperature: max.
30 °C, concentration depending on the degree of
contamination: 0.5 - 1 %)
6. Thoroughly rinse all parts under running water.
7. Prepare a disinfectant bath consisting of water and

Rapid (temperature: max. 30 °C, concentration:

8. Place the chemical protective suit, the covers of the suit
valves, valve discs and protective caps into the disinfectant
bath (duration: 15 minutes).
9. Thoroughly rinse all parts under running water.
10. Dry all parts (see chap. 5.3.4 on page 32).

Manual cleaning and disinfection with Neutral
Disinfectant Cleaner
1. Prepare a cleaning bath with Neutral Disinfectant Cleaner
according to the instructions of ECOLAB
2. Remove the backpack pad (if fitted) and clean it separately
in clean, warm water.
3. Remove the ventilation unit, D-connect and antifog visor (if
fitted), clean separately and disinfect.
Thoroughly rinse all parts in clean water after cleaning.
CAUTION
!
Do not immerse the antifog visor longer than 5 minutes
in the liquid, otherwise the antifog coating will come off.
4. Remove the protective caps, the covers of the suit valves
(if fitted) and the valve discs from the suit valves.
5. Clean the valve discs separately in clean, warm water.
6. Place the chemical protective suit, the covers of the suit
valves and protective caps into the cleaning bath. The
cleaning duration should be according to the instructions of
ECOLAB.
Thoroughly rinse all parts in clean water after cleaning.
7. Dry the chemical protective suit (see chap. 5.3.4 on
page 32).

5.3.3
Machine cleaning and disinfection
The following accessories are required for machine cleaning:
Industrial washing machine Dräger CombiClean
or washing machine similar in construction
Washing agent: Eltra
See 9021380 for dosage information.
Washbag
Supporting disc
The industrial washing machine must have the following
characteristics:
Drum capacity >130 liters
Drum diameter >60 cm
Door opening >37 cm
Programmable controls
Electronic temperature control ±2 °C
Drum revolutions: max. 4 revolutions/minute (2 slow
revolutions in one direction, 20 seconds idle time, 2 slow
revolutions in the other direction)
Clean and disinfect the chemical protective suit as follows:
1. Disassemble the antifog visor, ventilation unit, D-connect
and Fall-Connect (if fitted), clean separately and disinfect.
Thoroughly rinse all parts in clean water after cleaning.

!
Do not immerse the antifog visor longer than 5 minutes
in the liquid, otherwise the antifog coating will come off.
2. Remove the backpack pad (if fitted) and clean it separately
in clean, warm water.
3. Remove the protective caps, the covers of the suit valves
(if fitted) and the valve discs from the suit valves. Clean the
valve discs separately in clean, warm water.
4. Fully open the fastener system of the chemical protective
suit.
5. Spread out the chemical protective suit on a clean working
surface and smoothen out any creases.
6. Place the supporting disc in the hood, ensure that the visor
is flush to and congruent with the supporting disc.
7. Pull the washbag over the hood and ensure that the
washbag foam rests on the visor and the corded edge of
the washbag covers the lower edge of the visor. Pull the
cord tight and close with a knot.
8. Fold socks or safety boots up twice. Avoid sharp bends.
9. Lay the sleeves across the middle of the chest part.
Smooth out any creases.
10. Fold the hood with the washbag and the upper section of
the chemical protective suit to ensure that the visor lies on
the rolled-up safety boots. Smooth out any creases. Make
sure that the visor does not get deformed.
11. Place the chemical protective suit in the industrial washing
machine. Make sure that the section with the safety boots
is adjacent to the washing drum.
12. Start the washing program "Chemical protective suit".
CAUTION
!
Make sure that the washing drum only moves when it
is filled with water to avoid damaging the chemical
protective suit.
