/ Lock – Unlock the mixing bowl
or pan
The Yämmi has a security lock system that only makes
it possible to start the operation when the mixing
bowl or pan is properly positioned on the main unit
and the lid is also properly positioned.
The safety lock system is activated automatically
whenever a function is activated which starts the
rotation of the blade, such as:
/ When a speed is set
/
When the Turbo function is activated
/ When the Grinding function is activated
/
When the Kneading function is activated
/ When the Steam function is activated
The lock status is indicated by the way it shows the
padlock symbol on the LCD display:
/ Symbol flashing: indicates that the mixing bowl
or pan is placed on the main unit but it is not locked.
If the lock system is activated and the symbol
continues to flash, this means that the lid is missing
or that it is not correctly placed.
/ Symbol on with a permanent light: indicates that
the mixing bowl or pan is placed on the main unit
and the lid is correctly closed. The safety lock system
is activated.
The safety lock system is automatically turned off
whenever the food processor reaches the end of a
program and the rotation of the blade stops. The lid
and the bowl or pan can be safely removed.

To deactivate the lock system manually, you must do
one of the following:
/ Stop the food processor from operating by turning
the Dial
/
Stop the food processor from operating by reducing
the Speed to zero
/ Stop the food processor from operating by reducing
the Time to zero
Information!
Only when the security locking system is activated will
your Yämmi start to run and be able to prepare meals.
Whenever it is not possible for the food processor to
activate the automatic locking, the padlock symbol
keeps blinking.
Display
