2. SYMBOL EXPLANATION, MARKINGS

This symbol indicates health risks e.g. due to electric shock.
The symbol with an exclamation mark in a triangle indicates important instructions contained in these
operating instructions that must be followed.
A crossed-out flash symbol inside a circle forbids application and removal of the current clamp to or from
non-insolated, dangerously live conductors and warns against potential hazards. Use personal protective
equipment.
The "arrow" symbol alerts the user to the presence of important tips and notes on using the device.
This product is compliant with CE standards and meets all required national and European directives.
Protection class 2 (double or reinforced insulation, protective insulation)
CAT I Measuring category I for measurements on electric and electronic devices, which are not directly supplied
with mains voltage (e.g. battery operated devices, protective extra low voltage, signal and control voltages
etc.).
CAT II Measuring category II for measurements at electric and electronic devices, which are directly supplied with
mains voltage via a power plug. This category also includes all smaller categories (e.g. CAT I for measuring
signal and control voltages).
CAT III Measuring category III for measurements in the building installation (e.g.. power plugs or sub-distributors).
This category includes all lower categories (i.e. CAT II for measurements on electrical devices).
