6.1

Maintenance intervals

Monthly inspection by the operating company:
A visual inspection of the backwater valve for tightness
A manual inspection of the manoeuvrability of the emergency closure lever
Actuation of the „flap" button.
Six-monthly maintenance by competent skilled personnel, see "Personnel qualification", page 30
Control unit: battery replacement approx. every 24 months, earlier if required
6.2 Notes on maintenance
CAUTION
The system must not come into contact with mineral or partly mineral lubricants (e.g. WD-40). Mineral lubricants can
impair functional ability and tightness.
Only use completely synthetic lubricants!
Notes on the flap position
The motor-driven flaps only have the positions OPEN and CLOSED and have to be opened and closed by the control unit.
Manual movement of the motor-driven flaps is not possible.
