Tilt the upper section by up to 5° if necessary.
Then check to ensure that the sealing lip(s) fit properly.
Fitting the cover plate
Fit the seal on the underside of the cover plate.
Grease the seal on the outside.
Fit the cover plate into the upper section click-in lug first.
Use the key to lock Lock & Lift.
The upper section with cover plate serves as a temporary
protective cover at the same time. Do not remove the pro-
tective film until after the installation!
Tileable KESSEL cover plates (tile height including tile
adhesive maximum 15 mm) can be tiled using neutrally
cross-linked silicone or epoxy resin-based grouting mate-
rial. Grouting must always be cavity-free, using a sealing
material to match the tile material.
Products, e.g. from PCI, Schomburg, Deitermann, are suit-
able for tile laying. To achieve trouble-free processing and
adhesion, we recommend the following procedure.
