2. Before installation
Accessories required:
> 1 standard electrical power socket (not supplied).
> 2 shut-off valves (not supplied).
> Standard sealing compound for the union threads (not supplied).
> 1 standard isolator (not supplied).
> 1 siphon with standard isolator (not supplied) on brine outlet.
> TH test strips or a reagent (not supplied) for the testing and setting up of the water softener.
> 2 flexible 3/4» hoses (not supplied). The appliance must be connected to the installation using
flexible hoses so as not to create mechanical stresses on the head and the softener by-pass, the
hoses must have an internal diameter of at least 20 mm so as not to create a pressure drop on
the installation.
DO NOT ELECTRICALLY CONNECT THE WATER SOFTENER YET
CLOSE THE WATER MAINS TAP
DRAIN THE PIPE ON WHICH THE WATER SOFTENER IS TO BE INSTALLED
Make sure that the following elements are present on the installation:
1 – Valve before installation Recommended
2 – Standard isolator Mandatory
3 – 20 microns filtration Mandatory (included with softener)
4 – Hoses Mandatory (the hoses must have an internal diameter of at least 20 mm
so as not to create a pressure drop on the installation)
5 – Electric transformer and socket nearby (do not connect) Mandatory
6 – Brine evacuation pipe Mandatory
7 – Overflow evacuation pipe Mandatory
8 – Siphon with isolator (not included in product package, mandatory upon installation)*
9 – Pressure reducer set at 3 bars (must be added in case of absence on the installation for the guarantee of the
equipment)
* The brine tank overflow and the head drain must be connected to the sewer with an anti-backflow siphon
preventing any possible return from the sewer to the salt tank or the softener head.
