READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLATION
Before unpacking the water softener, keep the package upright.
Do not place heavy loads (e.g. bag of salts) on the water softener.
Install the water softener on the cold water system (5°C to 20°C).
If the pressure in the cold water system exceeds 3 bar, a pressure reducing valve must be installed and
set to 3 bar.
Install the water softener in a room at an ambient temperature between 5°C and 35°C, in a building
protected from frost.
Install the water softener close to a waste water evacuation system (drain).
It is imperative to install the softener on a flat surface without roughness so that there is no possible
deterioration of the brine tank due to the ground when it is filled with salt and water.
Install the water softener close to a standard electrical power socket (not supplied).
Upstream of the water softener, install the following (in sequence):
> An unsoftened cold water pipe to supply the kitchen tap (not supplied).
> A shut-off valve (not supplied).
> A standard isolator or standard non-return valve (not supplied).
> A new filter with a rating of 20 μm (supplied). Change the cartridge regularly, in accordance with
the manufacturer's instructions.
Downstream of the water softener, install the following (in sequence):
> A shut-off valve (not supplied).
> A siphon with a standard isolator (not supplied) on the brine outlet.
Do not cover the water softener. It could be damaged by poor ventilation.
It is not recommended that the water softener be installed in a basement, as there is a risk of backflow.
Furthermore, if the drain is above the softener, the overflow protection (or overflow safety device)
cannot be connected to the drain.
