In DC power supply, if you need a transient 12-24V output (for triggering a lock for
example), you can loop (shunter) the + via your Com relay (see diagram below). On
batteries, only a momentary normally closed or open dry contact (0v) is available.
ULTRACOM
The amperage delivered depends on your power supply (by default 2A
with our optional transformer). This should be sufficient for most latches.
However, if your UltraCOM panel freezes during use, you may need to use
a higher amperage power supply (up to 5A).
There should be no voltage feedback to the caller station relay, otherwise
your device may lock up and stop working. In this case, you must turn off
your panel, check your connections to the terminal block and restart the
device.
If you have looped out your DC 12-24V power supply and the electric door
latch does not work, please reverse the polarity of your relay/latch and try
again.
Auxiliary output (AUX)
These two terminals act as an N/O switch that will be triggered when a call is made.
However, no voltage is delivered to these terminals, it is a dry contact relay (N/O). If
necessary, you can loop (shunter) your power supply as described in the previous
diagram. This output can be used, for example, to trigger an existing doorbell a
courtesy light at the entrance.
