Reverse call function (from handset to caller station)
The reverse call function allows communication from a handset to the caller station
in order to put the caller on hold and call them back later, for example. To do this,
press the PTT conversation key on the handset for 3 seconds. A beep from the
handset will indicate the start of the conversation with the caller station.
This function is only available if your UltraCOM3 is supplied with 12-24V DC
or in ALWAYS. ON mode on batteries (see page 13).
Interior intercom function (handset to handset)
The internal intercom function allows communication from one handset to another. It
is only possible if you have several paired handsets on the same network (operating
on the same resident).
1. With the handset switched on, press the blue "pick up" key
is emitted.
2. The other handsets display the incoming call with their ring style set. Press the
blue "pick-up" key
3. Now the two handsets can communicate using the PTT push-to-talk button.
Anyone can end the call by pressing the "hang up" key
4. The call will end automatically if neither handset has pressed the PTT push-to-
talk button for 60 seconds.
5. If no one answers the call, the signal will automatically cut off 20 seconds later.
6. For residents with more than two handsets, the incoming call signal on the other
handsets is cut off as soon as one of the handsets picks up.
It is not possible to choose the handset to which the call is sent. When one
handset starts a call, all other handsets (paired to the same resident) ring and
can answer. However, only the first handset that picks up will be able to talk,
all the others will be excluded.
